Once when we were moving to another neighborhood in the same city, we rented a truck, knowing it was by far our cheaper option. We recruited friends to help and when it came time to start loading the truck, the men stood around discussing the best way to pack the truck while the women did all the actual moving. By the time the men decided how the truck should be packed, which items should be put on first, etc..., we had pretty much finished loading everything in - except for the heavier items.

Now, I will admit that we could've packed the truck more efficiently, but we were also on a deadline and didn't have time to wait for the men to "figure it out". So, I suggest planning your truck-loading ahead of time. Know what you have, how much you have, and where things should go. Not only will you save time and effort, but you'll also avoid the battle of the sexes!
