Woman in WindowLast week, I shared an article about how Australian Baby Boomers are not moving from their family homes. While this report shifts our thinking a bit, there are still many seniors who have no choice but to move to a smaller home or retirement facility, whether due to ill health, to save money or simply to be in a place that is easier to navigate.

However, moving parents or an older member of the family can be difficult especially if they are selling a beloved home where they've lived for a long time and moving into a smaller space or retirement home.

Remember, this is a very big transition, so be kind and patient and follow these 10 suggestions on how to ease the stress of moving for both you and your older relative or friend.

Good points. It would have been nice if I had a job when I moved, or knew what companies were in the area. I did find a site that gives them all by gps, my hubby and I found it very usefull. its companywhere.com. Happy moving.
