Insurance FileWhat happens after you move and you discover that some of your things are damaged? While making an insurance claim isn't easy, and it can take a lot of patience and persistence, just remember that if your goods were packed well, then the moving company is responsible for breaks, lost items or any other damage that occurs during the move.

Find out how to make a claim and if your move was properly insured.

Always check insurance plan with your mover before signing contract

Actually your statement “just remember that if your goods were packed well, then the moving company is responsible for breaks, lost items or any other damage that occurs during the move” is not correct. If you have a complete knowledge of moving and valuation coverage as what movers offer is not insurance than you would realize that unless the box is destroyed or lost or some thing along those lines AND you note that on your delivery inventory form under exceptions you will not have success filing a claim for boxes you packed. My information is simplified to keep it brief but this is an important fact that moving customers need to understand.
