Empty HomeMoving to a new home usually requires a lot of elbow grease, and not just for the packing and unpacking, either. When we moved into our current home, most of the dirt lay quietly hidden - the hood of the stove, in the kitchen cupboards and the living room walls.

Before you start to unpack, check out this guide to getting rid of the former occupants - their dirt, that is - so your home will be ready for your family to enjoy.

(1) Bridget Reno says:

There are multiple aspects of moving that can become overwhelming. If it is time to move there is so much going through your mind. Finding a home, packing, loading, unloading, and then unpacking. This can all be stressful and overwhelming. Looking for a new home can become a full time job with all the time that it normally consumes out of your daily routine. Take the time to search through multiple areas before deciding on the best neighborhood for you.
