I'm moving into a dorm room - what do I need to pack?

I had an email from a college bound student who is planning her move into a dorm room in the fall. She asked what kind of items she should take with her and what the residence might provide. First, it's best to contact the college to find out what items are included in your room, then take a look at the list provided here.

And just make sure you pack enough personal items, ones that come with lots of memories and that will add touches of home.
