How to Have An Earth-Friendly Move

Friday April 20, 2007

EarthThe one thing I really hate about moving is the waste it seems to accumulate. Or maybe it's just that I hate to see all the "stuff" I bought over the past few years, stuff that I now want to give away.

As we get ready to move again, I am surprised and delighted to know that things have changed in the last four years. With better recylcing services and systems in place, a move no longer needs to be so harmful to the earth. So, before you throw out that almost empty bottle of bleach, find out how you should recycle it, and what to do if the materials you need to get rid of are toxic, can't be recycled and can't be moved with you.

I firmly believe we can all do our part, and in the end, feel better that we made a smart, earth-friendly move!
