Sunday January 7, 2007

ShoesIt seems that every time we move, there's always something we leave behind or forget to do. Planning another spring move for 2007 has me determined to make sure everything is checked off my list before we leave our old home behind.

To make sure you have everything packed, check out this list of things you may forget to pack or do so you're not stuck with just one shoe (while the other one is left behind at the cobblers!)....

I have been in the Moving Industry for many years, I have many stories I could tell you from my experiences. Guess the one that really made me laugh is when we loaded 2 28 foot trailers which our customer felt would be cheaper than having us mover her, I asked her to provide a blanket for each piece of furniture in the condo. On moving day she had aproxminately 10 blankets which wasn’t going to make a dent in the furniture we had to load. Ok so what does she do? Goes to Walmart and buys all the comforters they had, about 30 of them. That wasn’t enough so she went to all the local walmart’s and bought them all. So in the end she spent about an extra $700.00. Then after she moved to Colorado they had all the snowfall so the trailers are still sitting full of the furniture we loaded….. On a lighter note I have a website which has moving tips, How to load a moving truck and we also sell 200lb ECT. Certified Moving Boxes and Moving Supplies. We have a complete list of things to do before you move to help you with all aspects of moving. The site is http://www.BoxesOvernight.com I have spent lots of time developing this site as a complete Moving Site to help with all aspects of your mov.
Thank you,
Rich

Moving boxes are not something you would forget as they are usually right in front of you, but it is important to remember your cell phone charger and any prescription medicine on the day of your move.
